MAGNIFICENT ANEMONE
Common on current-swept reef slopes. Broad with free margins,
blunt tentacles yellow, green, or tan, sometimes with blue, pink, or
purple tips, column color variable. Preferred by
Amphiprion
perideraion and
Dascyllus
trimaculatus. Red Sea to the Society Islands,
excluding Hawaii. Formerly known as Heteractis magnifica. |
