| Empty valves are common in sediment at any depth. White,
yellow, or pink with brown markings, coarse with intersecting axial and concentric threads,
prominent brown apex. Attains 0.2
inch, 4mm. Red Sea to Japan, Hawaii, and the Society Islands.
