Uncommon under rocks
deeper than 10 feet. This shell has an orange-ringed aperture and
much longer spines than
Sistrum albolabris, and
prefers deeper water. Feeds upon worms and mollusks.
Attains 1.3 inches, 32 mm. Red Sea to Hawaii and the Society Islands.
