PRICKLY HORN
| Common on hard reef deeper than 15
feet. Solid shell with stout spines, often encrusted with
coralline algae. Attains 2.2 inches, 80 mm. Red to Sea to Okinawa, Hawaii,
and Pitcairn. Formerly known as Cerithium mutatum. |
