KNOBBY SPINDLE

Common on hard substrate deeper than 10 feet.  Shells are usually scarred and encrusted with coralline algae.  Attains 4 inches, 100 mm.  Maldives to Hawaii and the Marquesas.  Formerly known as Latirus nodatus and Benimakia nodatus.
