HAWAIIAN or WOVEN TOP SHELL HĀ‘UPU

Common under stones on sand in shallow water. Color pattern varies between individuals and the shell is usually encrusted with coralline algae. Operculum thin and yellow. Attains 1.2 inches, 30 mm. Philippines to Hawaii.
