Sprawling shrub of dry rocky coasts and uplands, with sprawling and erect forms, several varieties of which are distinct and endangered.  Fruiting capsules attached to apex of cyathia.  Nihoa to Hawaii Island.  Formerly known as Chamaesyce celastroides.
