on shallow reefs & tidepools. Found in sea urchin pits
on wave benches or under stones. Juveniles are gray
with a wide brown band. Attains 1.75 inch. Endemic to Hawaii.
Formerly known in Hawaii as the Indo-Pacific Cypraea caputserpentis. |
