SPOTTED STROMB ‘ALĪLEA
| Occurs with algal mat on shallow reefs, and empty shells are common
with hermit crabs or in beach drift. The brown-spotted form is
common, while orange banded, or cream shells are rare.
Attains 1.6 inches, 40 mm.
Hawaii and the Marshall Islands. Formerly known as Canarium
maculatum and Strombus
