CHIRAGRA SPIDER CONCH

Common on sandy rubble on shallow reef flats.  Attains 13 inches, 330mm.  East Africa to Japan and French Polynesia.  Shells exist in fossilized reefs above sea level in Hawaii, along with Lambis truncata.  Formerly known as Lambis chiragra.
