| Live shells are uncommon in sand pockets on algae-covered pavement
deeper than 30 feet, and hermit crabbed shells are common. Attains 2.6 inches,
65 mm. Red Sea to Okinawa, Hawaii, and the Tuamotus. Formerly known as Strombus dentatus. |
