AREOLA SUNDIAL

Uncommon with zoanthids on shallow reefs exposed to wave action.  Cream with brown or black beaded spirals.  Attains diameter of 0.7 inch, 18 mm.  Red Sea to Hawaii and Ecuador.  Formerly confused with Heliacus variegatus.
