Family Architectonicidae

Sundials

Sundials are uncommon, associated with corals, anemones, and zoanthids upon which they feed.  They have a hollow ventral space called the umbilicus which may extend to the apex.  Sundials emerge at night from sand or between zoanthid polyps to feed.
