RADIAL SUNDIAL

Uncommon in sand & rubble next to Lobe Coral upon which it feeds at night.  Color variable, protoconch white, Psilaxis oxytropis has a brown protoconch with a white spot.  Attains diameter of 1 inch, 26 mm.  East Africa to Japan, Hawaii, French Polynesia, Panama, and Ecuador.  Formerly known as Philippia radiata.
